Is there any treatment for pulmonary fibrosis, or anything I can do to help myself

Broadly speaking yes thear are treatments to help pulmonary fibrosis suffers, but i think you need to speak to your specialist and the blf help line for information on your specific type of fibrosis. I hope you find what you are looking for

Hi it depends on what has caused the PF. If it is IPF then there is medication to slow the progression down if you are at a certain stage. If it is PF then the cause is treated to try and stop further scarring or at least slow it down. There is no cure for it. I am 10 years in and still going with PF caused by Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. Any questions please ask.

i had steroids immuno suppressants but most important was walk walk walk it stretchs the lung and slow it down a lot 2 mile a day

Hi,I’m in England.Was diagnosed 10 yrs ago with IPF.Prognosis was 3-5 years.Still here!🤪👍‼️Great treatment over here but the two pills they were trying on me haven’t worked out.I’m on Oxygen full time now and managing to use it ok.Keep your spirits up with hobbies and use your brain a lot.It helps!Just got stairlift which helps a lot.

Life has slowed right down and verydifferent for me but hey😃👍

It’s been a great life on this beautiful planet so-no complaints here.

Forgot to mention.I’m on daily dose of Turmeric as reseach is finding big success in Circumin in it.It seems to stop IPF in lab lung specimens.Worth a try eh?
