Do salt lamps help with breathing in COPD?

Hi Patsy

I have two salt lamps in different rooms and love them.

They seem to have a cumulative effect so need to be used on a regular basis.

Unlike most aids that we can get they are attractive to look at as well.

I keep mine on all the time. Treat yourself - there's nothing to lose.

Yes I have to agree with Grandma C...Salt lamps can assist, if only in your mood...that is a tangible one, but I do believe they can assist with your health. All the best.

I find using my salt lamp helps when I have a cold or throat infection. I think it stops it getting any lower down in my lungs.

Don't find mine makes the slightest difference, but it's very pretty!

Once again I need to share that for me salt lamps are very detrimental to my breathing . It was discovered by accident when I was last in Hospital that a saline nebulizer reduced my ability to breathe by 22% and as I only have 23% projected lung capacity salt was not going to help. Most people find salt lamps beneficial but you need to get checked by a respiratory team or nurse if salt works for you.
