Take some deep breaths, wee 'refreshment ' by your side, plus a Tunnocks teacake, maybe some Rescue Remedy and " Jings, Crivvens, Help Ma Boab" you'll get through the 90 minutes😱😂

Come on Ger, get behind England! What I find frustrating is that 'God Save the Queen' is used for the anthem. This is the national anthem of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Why can't we have a rousing English anthem for when we are competing as England? I'm always jealous when I hear the other home nations singing their anthems in such a rousing way. They have great tunes and the words are about the country and people in question. God Save the Queen doesn't mention the country or the people! On the odd occasion when England have used another anthem e. g. The Commonwealth Games, we can't get behind it because it means nothing to us and most of us don't know the words. It really is time to sort this issue.

I agree: each of the four nations should have their individual anthems, especially when competing in sports, important games etc.

One of the verses in God Save The Queen includes the words 'rebellious Scots to crush' so who standing on a podium wouldn't want to hear our own national anthem. So definitely an English anthem for any English team seems very logical.

Well needless to say,it's the morning after the footie and I feel totally proud of our boys but gutted its over.
