Well thats me back on anti biotics after feeling ill at the weekend π
I have only been back at work for 7 weeks and 2 of those were phased back weeks. My work now want me to reduce my hours due to illness.
I am a support worker and work back shift and sleepover. I have osteoarthritis in my hands now and Im unable to work mornings when its heavy moving and handling.
I was very emotional on Monday when told that I have another lung infection especially when I don't have a proper diagnosis of what the problem is yet, Im very frustrated. I do have an appt for Monday with an asthma nurse, so hoping for an outcome.
The photos of all the beautiful flowers have cheered me up, keep them coming π.

I think expecting you to 'reduce your hours due to illness' before you even know what that illness may be is a little unfair. My advice would be not to do anything in a hurry.
I had an occupational health assessment done because I was off ill for 8 weeks, with a bad infection at the beginning of the year. The outcome of that was to get pain relief for arthritis, which is quite difficult due to breathing problems and having stage 3 renal disease and also get thr proper meds for breathing issues.
I won't do anything regarding my job at the monent apart from send in fit notes. I will wait until they approach me.
I've been off since December, went back on a 4 week phased return but it just wasn't right, in the end my boss said I'm not to go back as she could see it was making me worse.
I got full pay whilst off and they where fantastic with me, not many people are as lucky and I don't know what I'd have done without support from work.
Hope you start to get some answers soon, I'm still waiting to see what else is wrong with me also.
Hi Keith, lucky you being on full pay. My manager reckons I'm letting the team of 8 people down by being off so frequent andbits only 1 person we care for. I reduced my hours last year from 36 to 29. I imagine they would want me down to 16 now.
Sadly I no longer have a job as was made redundant very recently but don't have to worry about money for a while yet. Are there no benefits you can claim?
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be able to answer that for you π
Hello Mas7656, how frustrating it must be for you having lung infections, without a proper diagnosis. I think anyone would be frustrated. Well I hope you have the news soon and with the right medication you should start to feel better soon π€π take care of yourself and please let us know how you get on ? πΉxx
