Bullea and collapsed lungs?
Lung bullae are focal regions of emphysema. A 'giant bulla' is classified as COPD, along with chronic bronchitis and asthma. The collapsed lung isn't common but can happen.
Can a different part of the lung collapse even if it has been stapled?

I have no idea. I don't have any medical qualifications. Why not give the BLF nurses a ring on 0300 030 555 during office hours?
Sorry you are having a hard time..It depends unfortunately..you can have air leaks..there are other methods which may be more definite nowadays..
Do phone the helpline but ask your Consultant to explore treatment possibilities.
Take care x

Good question - I would like to know the answer.
I had a blebectomy and pluerodsis surgery after having two collapsed lungs in 2007 and in 2017 had a third collapse, went to hospital and had a xray and ct scan and they told me I had emphysema!
