Curious...From media reports, this flu epidemic is not letting up here in the U S. It is reported that we have lost 63 children and hundreds of our elderly. Last night, ABC news reported that scientists in Japan have said that they have developed a pill that kills the flu virus in one day! Because of FDA regulations, 2019 is the earliest it could be prescribed here. How does that work in Europe? Could it be released more quickly due to epidemic. Does the flu virus seem to be continuing to spread? Thanks...

I'm a bit confused... Not sure what is Great Britain, as opposed to the United Kingdom. London, England...Is this part of Great Britain/UK. I believe some names and places have changed since I was a student fifty + years ago....😜
Defo things have changed political correctness GONE MAD nanny states ... all things like that.
Guess with UK now ITs what ever hat best suits for that occasion.
Uk as never been so devided.
Mixed feelings about rushing "super-cures" through ... thalidomide comes to mind albeit a long time ago
We no longer talk about Great Britain often. Britain and UK are the same, made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. London is the capital city of England. As Jeff says we in the North are subject to the same heating costs etc as those in the sunny ( usually) South. When my sister visits from Hatfield she finds it at least 3degrees cooler here than in the South.Take care, Sheila x
