Yep, that's a proper pig's ear. Well it was the pigs, it's Midge's now.

I usually cut them in half but she ran off with it before I had the chance. I am please to read that you managed to get away on vacation, that will have done you a power of good.

Do pay attention, SquirrelsHolt , O2Trees gave you the origin of 'pigs ear' meaning 'a cock-up'. (It's also rhyming cockney slang for beer.)

Midge is a bit of a tom-boy so she wouldn't mind your little mistake, but I won't tell her just in case.

Nah! I think there's quite a lot going on in there.

The weather here in the North West was beautiful yesterday, so much so that I started getting my old campervan ready for it's first Spring outing. Today it is like you have, cold dismal and damp, and Spring seems a long way away.
