I found one on ebay.....why 7% is it so expensive....will 0.9 % solution work compare to 7% to thin sticky mucus?
I have Modudose Saline Solution for Inhalation 0.9%....It doesn't say hypertonic.

A hospital doctor told me last year that I could buy a nebuliser from the Internet but NOT to buy the nebules from there. He advised asking my GP to prescribe them because, that way, the GP would have a total record of what medication I'm on.
I'm suggesting that you should first try asking the GP rather than buying from an untrusted source on the Internet.
Best wishes
Hi sagittar
0.9% saline is called isotonic and has the same saline content as all bodily fluids. It works well for some people. Folks with bronchiectasis often have very sticky mucus which is very hard to clear and will be prescribed hypertonic. Hypertonic saline comes in 3 strenghs 3%, 6% and 7%.
It is not a good idea to self prescribe hypertonic and this would normally be suggested by a consultant as usually you would have to have an assessment dose at the hospital to check you don’t get bronchospasm. Once directed by the hospital your GP will then prescribe the nebules.
If you feel the 0.9% isn’t helping, then I suggest you speak to your doc.

I only nebulize albuterol/ipatropium (DuoNeb), and Brovana and bedesonide. I know nothing about nebulizing saline.
