Everyone is different but normal time is 6 weeks xx
Hi bisso. I had pleurisy about nine months ago, i remember it did clear up in about 2 1/2 weeks after a course of antibiotics..Everyone is different, so that was just in my case. good luck.
It can linger on, usually gradually clears up after few weeks but you may we'll be tired and need to rest for weeks after.
Months seem over the top..depends on the state of your lungs I would say or your general health..
It takes a lot out of you though so rest, fluids, sit up in armchair, feet up, no lying down all day..
I have had pleurisy since Dec just seen doc today and still have it so yes can take a while to clear
