Good morning Delboy, and welcome to this amazing place with very lovely people, regarding your questions, do you think these symptoms are a side affect of what you are on for the pleurisy ? I have never had it (pleurisy )so I don't really know what to say maybe a return to your GP to see if there is anything he can do for you , as for you working 92 hrs a week can't help your conditions is there anyway you could maybe cut down your hours

Am sure others on here will be able to offer you some advice regarding your problems.

Take care

Hi Lesley and thank you for your kind reply, i have had pleurisy before, but its never been this painful, and my doctor has not even discussed the fact of the other side affects i am having, and as for work well i am actually thinking of quitting and getting another job, and i look forward to being part of this group and getting to know and help everyone if possible.

Hey Delboy how are you tonight?

I've had pleurisy a few times but, other than pain killers and antiinflammatories i don't know what else to suggest. It's REALLY REALLY painful and seriously IT TAKES TIME so be gentle with yourself.

I really wish you well hon xxxx

Hi breatheeasy,

Thank you for your kind reply and words, i have had pleurisy a few times before and its never been as bad as this time is, i am currently off work, but the company want me back on the 21st of this month, and the antibiotics have helped a little but i dont feel enough, so will be going back to see my nurse and will try and take things a bit slower, I hope that you will also be feeling better soon and take things easy for yourself too, all the best wishes.

Hi Delboy. I couldn't believe my eyes when you said you work 92 hours a week. I honestly don't how you do it.

Maybe, the pins and needles in your arm, could be a trapped nerve.

The pains in your face and behind your eye, could be something neurological, like neuralgia, I used to get that a lot when I was younger, especially the shooting pain in my eye but, that's only speculation because I'm not a Docter.

Your Docter should be doing tests, not just ignoring it. If it continues yiu need to go back and say you want it checked out. You have enough on your plate. xx

Hi casper99

Thanks for your kind words and your advice, i do know yes that my hours are very long and it's difficult to stay on schedule with all my health stuff too, i know that the pains are not from a trapped nerve, but doctor says its normal with the pleurisy and obviously with all my other health issues, i am going back to see them and will ask about the neuralgia just to make sure, thanks so much for your advice, hope you will be better soon and please take care of yourself.

I have never had pleurisy so been lucky did have chest x ray for it but as i have already said lucky not to have it. Have the new symptoms come on recently or have you had them for a while? Working long hours like you are doing cannot help also being a community carer also stressful. If your symptoms are new time to contact your surgery as you could also be suffering form something other than pleurisy. Welcome to the site we have wonderful people on here who listen & advise when can XC

Thank you for all your kind words, and no all the illnesses i have had for over 15 years now, but each year with different things happening, there is always something that causes more problems than the last time, i am on antibiotics for a couple more days and nurse has checked me over thoroughly, i am doing o.k compared to alot of people and the job and hours will be changing soon, thanks again for your kind words and comments, i am also on lots of groups on facebook which are also very helpful too x
