Hello again people, I am on my last day of doxycycline tomorrow and no doctors appointment has been booked. I have noticed I started coughing up a little bit of pale green sputum again today but it’s very mild. Heart rate stayed good but oxygen levels dropping again to 92 from 94 previous last to days. I also have not completely shifted the crackling sound from my upper air way especially when I lay on my back. Although in general feeling a lot better these little niggles are concerning me again, and still having coughing fits about 6-8 times a day? Is this normal and will these crackles go away in time? Or do I need to go back to see my GP?
Antibiotics : Hello again people, I am... - Lung Conditions C...
Antibiotics
Please keep going back, I had ten chest infections last year and I was really very poorly, still not 100 per cent and probably never will be, I've been put on AZITROMYCIN three days a week for good now to try to stop such sever chest infections, just started them last week, figures crossed that they work cos I've never felt this way in my life. Bronchiectasis both lungs now obviously all the chest infections has done all the latest damage, going for another CT scan on the 10th January that will be my third in 4 months. Hope it's better news than the last one. Really was up to myself to keep pushing for more help though so don't let it rest and keep going back to your GP for help.
Yes go back you might need another set of abs or chest X-ray to see what's happening with the infection, don't leave it to chance not worth it.
Thanks
Hi..
Yes you should go back maybe take a different antibiotics, doesn’t sound like that one killed the bug unfortunately..
Don’t let it linger..
Take good care xx
Yep, go and sit in the GP surgery until you get an appointment. Take someone with you if possible.
Really hassle them and keep asking and eventually they will see you to get rid of you.
Be assertive never angry nor aggressive of course but remember:
The squeaky hinge gets the oil!!!
Sad but true.
Phil
Yes, go back and keep coughing to clear your lungs.
