Still fearing the worst about cancer

Hi,

I posted on here a while back about my persistent cough, which is almost non existent now. But I still have pain In my back and sometimes arms and hands too.

I have had 2 clear chest x rays and clear bloods and had a ct scan yesterday (7 days for the results). I had a little blood in my spit again yesterday not from cough but just from spitting a little flem out. I am also feeling a little tired.

The worry and anxiety has really gotten hold of me I keep looking at my two young boys and sometimes have to leave the room as I well up and start to cry.

I think I am going to try and do a sit and wait appointment for my gp as the arms and leg pains and tiredness are new symptoms.

I just can't stop myself from thinking its lung cancer as all this has been going on for a few months now.

I thnk it is human nature to automatically think the worst and it usually turns out not to be the case. Good idea to see your gp about the pains but your ct scan will give you a definitive diagnosis re your lungs.

Hi,

Thought I better update this..... my CT scan was totally clear! I am so happy.... my doctor put the tiny amount of blood to prolonged coughing and should ease soon and the other symptoms have pretty much disappeared...guess it was extreme anxiety worrying I had something I didnt!

Thanks for the support guys it was really appreciated when I was in such a dark place!

Time to get on with my life!
