In October had above injection and my RA has been great but the cold is causing me to be seriously breathless. My legs give way and l have to stop walking. I have bronchiectasis and asthma. Dealing with this by using blue inhaler which l haven’t had to do for years, My pulmonologist gave me an inhaler called eklira last October and it worked really well. It now seems to not be helping at all and wonder if there is some kind of drug contraindication going on. The new drug eklira is for COPD but was prescribed for me as l have a left bundle branch block and a long qt?! The consultant wanted to give me Azithromycin but l can’t have that due to heart conditions.I think the eklira could be the problem. Can anyone help please. ? Scared to go out in the cold and this has never happened before. Only other suspect drug is verapamil, l know l will have to see my GP but not sure what she can do and l hate bothering her.
Thought Stone may be helpful as he seems to be very well informed! Any advice will b3 welcome. I am so used to dealing with everything myself.

Thank you so much. A drug review is so needed as l do take so many. In the meantime l am using salamol, which has not needed for a few years. Everyone is so knowledgeable and kind on this site. I also know l can trust them. Thanks again.
mrsmummy is bang on. My own pharmacist is brilliant and has picked up on drug interactions for me in the past.
I can't take Azith either and just wondered if it might be worth asking your consultant about using another drug which is not in the macrolide family as a prophylactic medication.
In the meantime you should see your GP. There is no way your GP will think or should think you are bothering her. That is her job and as a professional she will see with all your health issues you are a patient in need of her help. If she can't sort it then she will surely speak to either your repiratory consultant andor your rheumatologist. Maybe a request to expedite you appointment with the cosultant may be beneficial. You are going to have to be proactive and stop thinking in terms of 'bothering' people.
Thank you. I will contact my GP on Monday. Could be a coincidence about the injection and another drug but unusual for me. I knew someone would be helpful. Methotrexate is another drug that precludes other medication. Thanks so much for replying so quickly.
I did have a problem with verapamil, and reported it to my GP who changed it for something else - can't recall quite what, but it was one of the side effects mentioned in the patient information leaflet that came with the meds. Do have a look at those if you still have them. But your doctor and your pharmacist should be the best people to talk to about what might need to be changed.
