What do you do to keep warm

I hate winter, and if I ever win the lottery I'm packing up immediately to warmly climates!

I'm naturally cold, cold and calculated my husband says! My body temp is naturally low I'm rarely above 36 Celsius unless is summer hot, no reason I'm just cold blooded! Also have naturally low blood pressure which doesn't help.

When I go to bed I wear fluffy bed socks but also I put a pair on my hands then when I wake up if one of my hands is out the bed they're nice and toasty an cosy with a bed sock on, try it it's so comfy and warm and nice than wearing gloves in bed.

I wear a fine wool Buff to pull up over mouth and nose to go out. Fine thermal, long sleeve vest, Uniglo have many colours. Thermal socks. Sheepskin slippers. I'm not a cold person but used to ride a motorbike. We wore fine silk gloves & underwear, very very warm. They'd be good for wearing in bed. Try Patra on line.Cashmere is lovely and warm, expensive to buy but last years if you look after it.

I'd love to wear a balaclava in this weather to keep whole face warm but I fear it would be frowned upon and the police may be called everytime I go in a shop!

Try a Buff. Same warmth but without the need to be arrested! :)

I have a heated chair, but also put a duvet over me when sitting, socks in bed, not tried gloves yet. Always wear a fleece on top of pyjamas and vest under. Have a top blanket over my duvet too. When very cold I turn the heating down and leave on all night or day if necessary which keeps everywhere at an even temperature but not hot. Alternative to heated chair is a microwave hotwater bottle. Balaclava is a good cheap idea that works even if it looks like you might be a criminal :) :) Theres a new one in poundshop looks like you are a Santa but covers your head and face :) :) depends whether you want to look good or be warm when out.

I'm with you Shan, as soon as I win the lottery I am off somewhere warmer.

Take care and have a fantastic Christmas.

Steve.
