I didn't realise that we can post photos on here, despite being a member for many years! So now I do, I might post the odd photo from my travels around the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire, where I live...
This was storm ex-Ophelia last week, bringing massive waves in from the Atlantic to crash onto the 100-foot, south Pembrokeshire cliffs at Skrinkle Haven. That's Caldey Island on the horizon.
The power of the sea is something we should never underestimate!

Welsh cakes! My wife is addicted and goe to the factory shop in Narberth to buy the mis-shaped ones... in packs of 25, I think. I have to admit, they're very moorish!
I’m lucky enough to live in this area too & the scenery is lovely. Pembrokeshire is not promoted enough - in my opinion it’s equally as beautiful as Devon & Cornwall.
Currently we are living in the Forest of Dean. Formerly we lived near Lincoln. We had our first holiday in North Pembrokeshire when I was expecting my first child. He is now 41, and last year was the first year we haven't made it, mainly because of health issues. We were at Abereiddy, just north of St David's. We almost retired there but felt we needed to be nearer a good hospital for my complicated health problems, so we now live just in England near Chepstow, and I go to Bristol. We moved here because my younger son lives here. We are delighted we are here, and will get back to Pembrokeshire soon. Easier with a shorter journey. All the best!
Ok , I’ll give you a clue . Not too far from St.David’s . A little village exactly half way between Haverfordwest & Milford Haven. The train stops on request !!!😂
And Clarbeston Road !!! Some years ago when my daughter was working in London she had quite a nasty accident resulting in one foot being in plaster. They didn’t want her in work for H&S reasons ( limited mobility in an emergency. ) She decided to come home for a while - she asked the Conductor if they would stop in Johnston to which he replied “ No, but we slow down ! “ Poor Joanne had visions of having to jump off the train, foot in plaster. Actually though I’ve always found the staff on Arriva to be lovely & very helpful.
I have to say that I have several, severe and mutually complicating health problems, and the treatment I get at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest is generally fantastic. Some people do criticise the hospital, but they've saved my life on quite a few occasions now. I wouldn't live anywhere else!!
another beautiful picture of the sea during a storm. My grandfather was a fisherman and taught us to respect the sea. Said she was a jealous woman and would take what she wanted but give up that what she did not want.
The weather here near Brighton today is cold, wet and windy. That is just outside. Inside cold (heating failed- waiting for plumber) Wet. hair from shower. Windy? Well not at present-maybe after lunch! cheers all.
