You can get pneumonia from a fall cancer and immunity issues.

Or like i say can catch it of those you think just have bit of cold

Many different kinds of bacteria and viruses can cause pneumonia.

If pneumonia is caused by bacteria or viruses, it’s contagious – you can catch it from another person.

The most common cause of pneumonia is a bacterium called streptococcus pneumoniae. It’s much less contagious than flu or a cold, because most people’s immune systems can kill it before it causes an infection.

More people get pneumonia in winter. This is because other infections that spread easily from person to person, such as flu, are more common in the winter. Catching flu can increase your risk of developing pneumonia.

My problems started with a fungal pneumonia which then turned to ARDS.

I was lucky to come out the other side of these two but have been left with Pulmonary Fibrosis so it seems one thing can lead to another. This all happened 7 years ago. Tony.

Booked in for flu jab soon - had pneumonia vaccine 8 years ago - had pneumonia for the 1st time in January - doctors won't give me another pneumonia vaccine as it hasn't been 10 years since last one but not sure whether go private have it done. Maybe it won't stop me getting it again but at least I Carnt blame the docs for not giving me the vaccine then.

My Pneaumonia vaccine was over 10 years ago but I'm still told I don't need another...

My respiratory team have said that people like myself can have more than 1 pneumonia vaccine in their lifetime (every 10 years for those with a chronic illness).
