I've always loved tomatoes,
Since I sat on Grandad's knee.
The photo shows his greenhouse
With my sister next to me.
I've never been a gardener,
Though I like to see it neat
But when it comes to tommies,
I grow the best ones in the street.
It really makes no sense now,
Cos there's only Midge and me
There's far more toms than we can eat
As you can plainly see.
So I give them to my neighbours,
Who watch out for me all year.
Which gives me lots of pleasure,
And generates good cheer.
