Tomatoes (update)

β€’11 Replies

I've never been a gardener,

I see it as a chore.

But I love to grow tomatoes

Why? Well I'm not really sure.

Perhaps because it shows us

From little acorns grow.

Impressive mighty oak trees.

In a way that's not as slow.

Them Tomatoes look mighty good to me, and I am sure the end product will taste good too, used to be a gardener but had to stop this year and change my garden style can't manage the task anymore, my grandson is going to reduce it to lawn with that astro turf so it is tidy, but it will take some time and energy to clear it first. used to have a garden and two allotments in my hayday but had a hubby to help then also, it was our main hobby.

That's sad katieoxo60 I have never been interested on gardening. But I was a keen golfer and had to give that up when I had my knee joints replaced. Then on retirement I learnt to play the organ for a hobby and, blow me, arthritis bent all my fingers out of shape. At least I can still poke at a computer keyboard with two fingers. :-)

Hi Don-1931, Know the feeling at least with a computer can always get a program to speak to the computer without typing if worst comes to worst. I have arthritis in hands and other joints as well as the lung problems. I love the music of the organ, sorry to hear thats another hobby you had to give up. at least on the computer we can travel all round the world a the push of a button. :)

Yep, you got it. Every year, I say just 3 varieties, and 2 bushes each. Grew 3. times as many. More poems please.
