Here is intresting artical telegraph.co.uk/science/201...

Looks like doctors oncologist might have to do tad better when it comes to treating thos with cancers.

Have read few heart breaking stories where people have been given two shots of Chemotherapy thinking there reciving treatment quite unaware the two shots of Chemotherapy is in my opinion a make it look like we are doing something when infact the doing nothing and have you on palative care..

One of my relatives is on such care programe ONE egf pill and come back in six months WHY to be told its spread and this nothing further can be done.

In my opinion waiting is death sentence

Is quite sobering when you read on internet post's going on about Chemotherapy finishing people off sooner.

Looks like the post on internet might of had poit.

Morning Jeff, lovely sun out there again, not forecast to last though. TheArticle on Chemotherapy is interesting and I agree with you the waiting game is a death sentence. Chemotherapy is not the answer for all cancers nor are operations but at present its the best option we have for prolonging life, but why do we prolong life in the final stages especially if the patient does not want treatment. My husband survived with only palliative care for seven months. He had no food during that time either only fluid, it was horrendous both for him and the family, but better than being given false hope and treatments that often makle you feel worse I think . Have a good day and your dad.

Hi Katie :) dare i say it .. It's too hot.

Defo sounds horendus what you both went threw .

I belive things could be done IF only would try and patients would not accept there fate.

My relative don't want to talk abbout anything and as 100% fait in her doctors and there treatment.

Sure its there decesion and i respect that but like i have seen if your not proactive in all treatment options THEY do let you fall by road side.

Well guess in favour of those why grab these doctors by the scruff.

Needless to say am grab doc by the scruff.

Anyway you got anything exciting or jollies planed for this weekend :)

Hi again Jeff, this weekend might be helping grandson get my garden ready for turfing. Got to have a bit of rest now till they come to do the bathroom at the start of August. They hope to finish it before I go away in August if not they will have to come back. It is only a six by six room, so should not take too long, but some times things don't always go to plan do they ?? Your right too about being proactive about your health or they do nothing . Even doctors need a reminder nowand then that they owe a duty of care just like any other tradesman/woman . Enjoy your weekend

Glad I am not the only one who looses to do list, I write the agenda for a meeting and loose it amongst the paperwork by the time I get to meeting. :) That decorating idea sounds good, music while you work, that's how my hubby used to do the ironing :)

I do hope not JAS for my daughter in laws sake. Xxxx

She needs to talk about all treatment options. Inc blood transfusion.

As i have had bad immunty issues was reading you can inherate trace immunty from blood transfusiin's

In my opinion life is worth fighting for so i would make sure i got my transfusion

Hope things work out well sassy

As i have seen with my relatives the bit reluctant to ask or talk about things and in my opinion thats leting doctors off lightly

I really admire you for posting this Jeff all this money and research and docs are still using the same barbaric treatments they have been using for decades even some docs say they would not have chemo

in reply tolejaya

Hi Cheers have read same things myself ... I think immuothrpy should be first port of call then if that fails chemotherpy.

But to trash everything then not even offer transfusion WELL I think is madness.

I know in USA doctors can't talk about historic stuff with out of fear of geting looked up .. Guess as it's merits and it's down side.
