For some reason I have never been able to write much about my dog Midge, a Jack Russell female. I've never been able to figure out what is going on in her head, unlike @Azure_Sky who seems to know exactly what's going on in George's head and writes about him so well. Maybe I can't read Midge's mind because she's a female. ;-)

This story about Dodger written by some unknown owner made me smile. I suspect Dodger is a Jack Russell too:

Dodger likes chasing cats, big ones, small ones, ginger, black, white! He barks and charges, they run away and all is well with the world, until today!! So he's on his extendable lead & boom, he's off like a rocket with the lead spooling like a fisherman who's hooked a whale! He's barking and yelping at the top of his lungs as I'm almost pulled off my feet. And the cat just sits there! He's 3 meters away & it just sits. Two meters, one meter ... it sits! So Dodger starts back pedalling like mad, squealing instead of barking as he uses his butt as a brake. Finally sliding to a halt millimetres from the cat, who disinterestedly, raises a single paw & bats Dodger across the face, before strolling off. Dodger turns to look at me, his eyes wide, his mouth open! Dodgers world changed today!

Midge had just completed a midnight walk of some miles, with my daughter, in aid of the local hospice. They gave her a medal, so I think that's a self-satisfied smile.

πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ yes, as a cat owner I can picture that happening though not with my present moggie, she'd be puffed up to twice her size spitting and screaming like a banshee. Midge looks very relaxed and comfy after her long walk - her teeth are lovely and white.
