Oxygen Concentrator Funding

Is there any funding assistance available for purchasing a private portable oxygen concentrator? They are pretty expensive bits of kit. The idea is to make my mum more mobile. The one we've got just keeps her pretty much house bound.

Most oxygen suppliers can supply these. I suggest you speak to whoever prescribes your mum's oxygen and ask about the suitability of it because if it is suitable and available they can supply one.

Would your mum be better with the smaller paediatric cylinders.

Portable concentrater are only as convenient as the nearest charging point, ok if in car but not often available if on public transport.

A lot depends on LPM required and whether on pulse or continuous supply.

NHS supply the ImogenG2 quite heavy at 10lbs, does come with trolley.

Some offer the lighter G3 weight is about 5lbs.
