Does anybody know if these 2 are related? I have been on Seretide for several months now and since Thursday, 4 days ago I have been very ill and can't work out what's wrong. These are my symptoms, extreme fatigue, dizzy, aching, bones, cramps, brainzaps, headaches, dry mouth dry skin.

You can read the known side effects of Seretide here:

If you have any worries about what you are feeling then you should consult your GP.

Hi joost, been on this for about 3 years now since I found a GP who took a real interest in my well being. Don't know much about Sjorgen's but some of the symptoms you describe such as dry mouth, dry skin and cramps are side effects of some of our medications, mainly the steroid part of seretide I think which certainly turns your skin into something like tissue paper. I also take Spiriva which also has its share of side effects. You have quite a few there and I would you suggest you see you Doc at home or at surgery as soon as possible.

Hope you feel better soon, Jo

Thank you Jo, I found out what was wrong, by Sunday night my husband took me to emergency and I was diagnosed with Pneumonia, I was put on IV antibiotics, they called it "Community Acquired Pneumonia", Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) refers to pneumonia (any of several lung diseases) contracted by a person with little contact with the healthcare system. ... CAP, the most common type of pneumonia, is a leading cause of illness and death worldwide. Its causes include bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites. A lung specialist came to see me and I have to make an appointment with him, it is caused by Emphysema. I have not been getting the proper care by my GP as they keep treating me for Asthma, COPD wasn't even on my files! even though I had told them that that's what I have, and I know in my heart I have suffered with that for 21 years and that's why I gave up smoking. But they shrugged it of as anxiety so gave me Diazapam and practically said go and see a psychiatrist! I get so frustrated with doctors giving me the wrong diagnosis, it has happened many times to me in the past. The public Hospital I went to is amazing, they gave me so much help and advice and the nurses are so caring, we are very lucky to have that Hospital so close to home. So now I'm going to get the all the help I so much needed, I am 71 years old and not about to give up!

Thanks for listening an you take care x Joost.

@joost Hi joost, thank you for keeping me posted, good to hear you have the correct diagnosis and medication and care you need. I had CAP a few years ago when I was first diagnosed with COPD a few weeks after my gp at the time informed me that there was nothing wrong with me so I understand how you must feel about your doctor's treatment over the years. I changed gp and looked into taking court action against him, no joy there though. I remember feeling awful and light headed, slightly 'out of it', temperature and cough. Most GPs don't seem to understand copd at all well. Wishing you a speedy recovery, it does knock you back a lot and can take some time to recover completely. Vitamin D3 and a zinc supplement will help keep colds and infection away. TC x. Jo

Most of the Steroid Inhalers can give you these symptoms ,Im on Fostaire and get some of these ,It seems you are unlucky to have most of them if you are anxious it can make you more aware of these affects I know I do when I feel anxious it seems everything is twice has bad horrid ,I would go check with GP or perhaps ask to change inhaler hope you feel better soon x
