Has anyone here have or had TB? Resp cons has ordered sputum test for it 😕

Thank you sassy!! Iv not heard of a sarcoidosis but I hope he's doing well!! Does he suffer muscle pains?

Sarcoidosis affects the lungs, airways, joints and can spread to heart, eyes and brain but Pete is doing ok after being diagnosed 26 years ago. He has back problems and yes muscle pain sometimes. You take care Tinkz. Xxx

It's foxy79 I have copd respiratory type2 broncecitsis on oxygen I'm 35 years old anyway at begging when you get chest infection they have to do sample for T.B it's routine prosdure if you had it and have done full treatment it's unlikely it will come back but some chest infection have T.B symptoms that's why I had it I know i get it as well when I go even know sometime it's up to the consultant some might give you benefi of the doubt some won't don't worry on 3rd sputum sample you would know nothing to worry about I know it's hard long anchos wait but out of 100 it's only 1 that it comes back trust me you be ok hope you get better soon and don't worry about it it's routine if you need to know plz text me again take care foxy

I have just been asked by Consultant to send in three semples for TB culture I have Broncheichetis but no cough or other symptoms of TB, thank you for your very informative reply as the nurse at my surgery did not seem to know anything about why or how to dal with sending the samples.

Hello Tinkz,, I had a small amount of TB when I was about 11 years old,,I caught it from contact from a sufferer,,i only found out when I went for the heaps test,,and it did not have a clear result,,so another one was done,,,and it was also inconclusive,,,so off I went for chest x-rays,,,and found I had black lungs,,,so I was put on the watch and wait side of things,,back again 12 months later and the lungs had become clearer,,and then the following year they were 'normal looking' so I was discharged,,,I don't think I had anything further wrong with me in the TB department. I did not feel unwell when they found it,,but I did feel scared and had to make sure I always covered my mouth,,,the odd thing about it was mu brother was the one visiting the persons house who had the sick person in it,,but he never caught TB,,he was tested and cleared,,just me, via him coming home with it somehow,,,stunning how things jump and don't effect one person, but another,,,how this helps a bit,,,ttfn from karen.
