Help! I'm in Malaga on holiday and have run out of my capsules..don't ask 😱anyone know if I can buy them over the counter? Thanks

Don't know about Spain, but in many European countries you can buy Meds over the counter in the pharmacies, which can't be purchased in the UK without a prescription.

Just go to the nearest dispensing pharmacy, and ask.

They are called Carbocisteina in Spain. Any Pharmacy will be able to tell you if you may obtain them without a Prescription.

Hello Caz,

My husband didn't have an problem buying over the counter in Spain when he ran out of drops for his Glaucoma. All you have to do is ask at the Chemist.

You can but try. I've bought my prescribed meds over the counter in France several times when I've run out or been caught short. I also easily bought Ventolin in Spain . In both France and Croatia I needed more Carbocysteine and they sold me Acetylcysteine, they said that's what they use there and does the same job as Carbocysteine.

Drink plenty of water until you get them. Good luck. P

take old packaging to farmacia. when they see you are on them they may sell over counter. they are prescription drug here but have to be paid for.
