I have shared my diagnosis of moderate emphysema with my husband & children. I am relieved that is behind me. Everyone is on board for my healthy eating & exercise changes. The welcome I have received here has given me hope and courage.

You know what they say about a trouble shared? Well you have now halved it twice, once with us and once with your family. We will give you hope but you have your own courage.

Well done revagayle for telling your family, You are obviously relieved.

I have just read your other post, and you sounded frightened at your diagnosis, which l think we all go through at first.

You are on the right path with your healthy eating and exercise regime, but also Your mental attitude to this illness, can make the world of difference as to how you cope with day to day living...Stay Positive !!!

Do not become defined by this illness, You are still the same You , as before diagnosis...You do not change overnight...Just know your limits.

You may find apart from becoming breathless easier, you may find you get tired ...Don't worry...Rest...Listen to your body.

Live your life to the full, have fun, it's still allowed 😂

And with luck, when your time comes, it will be due to old age not Emphysema.

xx
