90 Days and Moving Forward

Well, I am 90 days into a smoke and nicotine free life today, and it is a good day. Going on a distillery tour for fun. I can breathe so much easier, sleep so much better, and no longer carry the guilt and shame of smoking and having COPD (diagnosed 3 years ago, moderate). The first time I quit (2.5 years ago), I turned back to smoking at day 93. May I never turn back again ๐Ÿ™. I feel as though my head and heart want to keep going forward into this smoke-free life, but it is hard - Iโ€™m learning how to do life without a cigarette after smoking my whole adult life (38 years of hard smoking ). They say that most worthwhile things are hard fought, right? Well, Iโ€™ll go with that for now. Have a lovely weekend ๐Ÿ’

pepapod, congratulations on your continued smoking cessation and enjoy your distillery tour, worry not about the rapid descent into alcoholism that normally follows these tours as it is slightly safer than smoking..for a while lol

Have fun.:)

Ha! Lucky for me, Iโ€™ve never loved the taste of whiskey, so I should be safe(ish) with this tour. Now the winery tour that is coming up later in the month is another matter ๐Ÿท๐Ÿท๐Ÿท๐Ÿท

The smell of someone who's just had a cigarette made me think God what an awful smell so stale. I shouldn't moan I was one of those people who used to light up. .Keep it going another day past for you. I took up colouring while watching T.V. got some of the harder colouring books and crayons it took my mind of wanting to go out and light up.

Well done. I had ups and downs with smoking and now regret having bad days smoking now have copd had it since 2008. And am hoping to have an op next year. Keep of the cigarettes and the feeling good will stay with you. My kids were proud of me for persevering. Which helped good luck

Nice work!

Well done and keep it up. Don't keep any lying around to prevent absentmindedly lighting up whilst distracted and concentrating on what you are doing at the time, easily done.

Hello there, keep up with the non smoking mantra. Lungs are precious things that don't need the grief. Well done you have gone so far they will thank you.
