Does azithromycin causing pain in chest normal ?

I don't think any medicine should give you chest pain so perhaps you're not responding well to this particular drug, if it's not too late in the day phone the surgery who prescribed them and be advised or just go straight to A&E and get checked out! huff x

If you Google Azithromycin you will find that chest pain is a rare side effect so I would phone NHS 24 and get advice

Chest pain can have many causes so best to get checked out ASAP.

There are different doses of azithromycin. I've had 500mgs many times. It's never caused anything but an upset stomach.

Check with a doctor won't you. Good luck

I've been taking them now for 6months and not had any chest pains at all

I have used it for several months and the only side effect seems to be thrush.
