Now as well as having COPD and depression, having to give up my job due to ill health I was about to have my house repossessed and I was running out of money. I had had to cancel all direct debits etc and built up sizeable debts. Today I've just been told my house has sold, money will go into my account so I will be able to pay off my debts. I will also be able to rent a nice gaff somewhere whilst I sort summat out.
Finally after a disastrous year things are looking up. Be thankful for small mercies I reckon.

Cheers. What's the point in moaning, that don't get you anywhere. At 60 I think I've learned some valuable lessons. Onwards and upwards, until the end.
The university of life teaches many things only when you get to our age you realise why we needed to learn them .sounds like you have passed your degree. with your positive attitude there's only one way to go and that's up good luck
Changohank I was also impressed by your attitude. You are to be applauded for the way you have faced adversity. How many people who have just had to sell their home to stay afloat would have approached their fate in the wonderful & positive attitude that you have. No moaning. No ' poor me's. Just ' yippee' because things have gone well for them & they can see a light at the end of their tunnel
So lovely to know you Changohank. I hope life gets easier for you now & your spell of bad luck changes. You know what they say. , change your house change your luck '
We sold our house in Bristol , down sized to a two bedroom apartment in Lydney, now mortgage free, debt free and enjoying being at home , it Aldo means my husband can work part time. No more big holidays but we have each other and our camper can for weeks away . Enjoy and be happy 😀
Hello changohank and I'm glad to learn that you've begun to see the light at the end of the tunnel! One thing is for sure and that is your PMA - Positive Mental Attitude and you seem to have grabbed that with both hands. Im not at all saying it was easy for you but at last you have a good future to look forward to. Each day is a positive day/action. Well done to you!
