thank-you all: thank-you all for the... - Lung Conditions C...
thank-you all
Your circulation will improve and the bottom lip should go pink again. I think you meant to say "when I stop 100% smoking" not "if" so you'll be able to see for yourself!
You probably wouldn't feel too comfortable wearing lipstick?
Good luck - you don't think you can do it but you can. Have you tried e-cigs?
Sue x
Go for it Kurtjahn,
I was nearly up to 40 a day and decided enough was enough and went on a nhs course and kicked the rotten habit with the aid of Champix. So although I will have problems with my lungs, I'm still here and if i behave myself I plan to be around for quite a while. Be firm with yourself kick the habit and work towards blue free lips.
So welcome to our chat room we are here for both the good times and the times when you need friends.
Cheers.
Sue
Well done on quitting; keep going & you will be in the pink. X
Do stop completely! You, your breath, hair, and your clothing and household furnishing will smell sweet. I don't know about the colour of your lip...maybe your doctor is the person to ask about that, but I do know that stopping smoking will be the very best thing you can do for yourself and for those around you. There is so much help out there for you. I stopped by using Zyban after being a heavy smoked for 50 years but many others have stopped using various stuff available on the NHS or to buy in the Chemists.
Good luck, and come back for a chat anytime. There is usually someone on here to give advice or just a chat most times.
All the best.
thank-you you are very sweet to care, i woke up this morning took off my head gear were this machine pushes o2 into my lungs. and i go out front to have a smoke now i sit here thinking how stupid i am. i just called the stop smoking classes at the hostipal . something just has to work.
As Sue asked - have you tried e-cigs? Worked overnight for me after 60+ year of smoking and no withdrawal symptoms; 7 years smoke-free next January.
Well done for quitting 😊
