I will try not to kill myself but this is the fourth time I have been if it gets better hurry up the end ? Not me the course there again it might be ?? ED
Thank you : I will try not to kill... - Lung Conditions C...
Thank you
Just do your best Ed, no one can ask more. Work those muscles, but do let them know if it gets too much. Getting exhausted is not the objective.
You are not going twice in one day are you?
Hi Ed I agree with the others. The object is to get some fitness back, not to exhaust yourself. Remember the borg scale! Aim for your level 4 and not higher. x
most people seem to enjoy going , I hated it and was glad when it was over ,
With you all the way Mmzetor - horrible, useless and a waste of time. XX
it was the talks that got me treated us like 6 year old explaining to us that if you have a 12 hour in hailer you would take it at 8 am then 8 pm because that's 12 hours and a 24 hour one you would take at 8am then 8 am the next day because that's 24 hours , then they wanted us to join the breath easy group and they would take us for a trip to the seaside in summer and for Christmas we would have a lovely Christmas meal ,
Oh sorry to hear this. I enjoyed mine. The Nurse and Physio had us all summed up well to our capabilities. Some stopped after a short time and some did longer.
They gave different exercises if we couldn't manage one.
I have neck problems so mine were adapted to take this into account.
The Lectures were informative and useful.

I enjoyed it too, mainly because I was amongst a group of people who were suffering from a lung complaint like me and no explanations were necessary..........did find the lectures a bit of a waste of time though.?
I am on second rehab course based in Luton and have gained a huge amount from it. All the nurses and physios are lovely and sensitive. Ok the talks may be a bit simplistic but not everyone has you stunning IQ MM!
The aim of pulmonary rehab is to exercise until you are "mildly breathless" -- so you can walk on the treadmill and still carry on a conversation. I end up on PR every time I'm discharged from the respiratory unit here and it does me the world of good: trouble is, I do the PR then the six months' maintenance (if I'm lucky!), but then end up with an exacerbation/infection/admission and start all over again. There's nothing wrong with that: it keeps me going, that's for sure!!
Hang in there and just do what you can -- don't try to do what you can't.
Does pulmonary rehab help ???
