For your kind words and support as always, I am now on the double lung transplant list so it's a case of what comes first the telephone call or the Infection ones a chance for life the other takes it away, I am so proud of were I have got to its been a very hard road but with Fran at my side I am ready to face anything,The first thing is I might have to stop working as my response time from the transplant team is 30minutes this will let me spend more time getting stronger and when I have the operation and all goes well it's back to work in 3 months after this. The last three years with the dreaded Rhuematoid Arthritis has been the Icing on the cake painwise but have been told the post op meds will benefit me as there is a lot of inflamation meds to help which I could not get before because of my lungs, Keep You posted.matt

Matt, I pray that your time comes soon and that you can be well again . It's not easy struggling to breathe every hour of everyday . With fran at your side I know you will cope , and if it means stoping work now so you can build your strength up for the op. All the best 😇

Hi mattcass 'Thank You" for sharing your good news with us all.

You sound very positive and that is the right attitude to have. Think of all the benefits the transplant will give you and your family. I bet they are over the moon for you just as everyone on HealthUnlocked will be.

Look after yourself and keep those infections a bay.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Best Regards. John

Hi Matt

I hope that call comes soon for you.

It's a good idea to stop working for a while, it gives you time to prepare yourself mentally and physically before your transplant, and it cuts down your chance of catching an infection.

With Fran at your side you will cope just fine.

We are all thinking of you Matt.

xx

All the support and good wishes in the world Matt. Best stopping work in case anyone is carrying an infection. I bet you and Fran are on tenterhooks now. You are doing it right. Here's hoping that call will come very soon:-)

Hope you get that call very soon now. Best to spend your time getting as fit as possible and avoiding infections than going to work, I think. Wishing you and your wife all the very best.
