Yesterday morning my life, my everything, my husband passed away. He was hoping that its just chest infection but it wasnt. It was fibrosis which covered all lungs. When i seen a scan i was shocked, lings were white. Thanks to doctors in local hospital, they made everything for him to go with comfort.
I dont know why his consultant in brompton didnt tell me when he discharged him from hospital that his lungs are very bad. Why he gave us a hope and told he should get better soon after recovery from chest infection...
I m soo sorry my love, i was fighting for your life. Sleep in peace. Xxx

I am so deeply sorry to hear this, Mendy. I know you fought so hard to get the best treatment for Colin. He is now free from pain and fighting for every breath...may he rest peacefully.
I'm so sorry that you now have such awful heartache and my very deepest sympathy.
I am so sad to hear of the passing of your dear husband Mendy. It must be a comfort to know his passing was peaceful. You have certainly fought Colin's corner. Please accept my condolences and may you have strength and may your memories of happy times together bring you comfort.

Oh Mendy I am so sorry to hear of your husband passing. Big hugs. Nothing I could really say will be of much comfort, but know that we're all here for you x
So sorry to hear of your sad loss Mendy. May Colin RIP now. Xx
I'm so very sad that nothing more could be done to save your dearest love. Can't think why the consultant spoke the way he did - to be given a lifeline and then it have it taken away. At least your husband is at rest now, no more struggling for breath. Your family will hold you.
I'm so sorry Mendy to hear the sad news about Colin. You've lost the fight for him but hang on to all the memories of the wonderful times you shared together.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Rest in peace, Colin.
Hi Mendy, I remember your other posts and how you have been fighting so hard for proper diagnosis and treatment for your husband. I don't want to sound like a troublemaker but I too would be very angry about what happened. Obviously the Brompton couldn't do any more for him but they should have been honest with you.
It does seen like your husband's illness was too advanced to save him and I'm glad the other hospital looked after him and kept him as comfortable as possible.
I know how heartbroken you must be Mendy, I hope you have family or friends around to support you.
So sorry to hear of your loss. I can't believe that no one told you the true extent of your husband's codition. I lost a dear friend with fibrosis early this year. He had superb treatment and had fought it for a number of years until the end. May your husband rest in peace.
God bless you Mendy and keep you strong. Colin is away from his suffering. From your posts you had a beautiful marriage. Remember all the good times. The sorrow will be with you but it will ease over time. Don't feel guilty you did your utmost for Colin, he knew that.
My heartfelt condolences to you Mendy on the loss of your Colin, may he rest in Peace and eternal love. Praying for strength for you at this deeply sad time, love huff xxx

Thank you dear friends for your support. For being with me all this time, for answering my questions, for your wishes to me and Colin. Today i went to see him in chapel of the hospital. I ll try to be strong and live. But he always ll be my everything.xxx
I'm sending my deepest condolences ma'am. I am truly sorry for your loss of your dear husband. Lord, May his pain be gone, and allow you to find some comfort in the lords arms around you at this difficult time. Your husband would want you trying to take care of yourself. May peace in knowing he's in a better place, fill your heart. Amen ππΌ
Mendy,It is agony to lose someone you have loved for so long, lots of people on this site have experienced what you are going thru and it is the most dreadful heart breaking time. I am sure the happy memories of your life together will eventually be a comfort, with a heavy heart. Bulpit
My deepest sympathy to you Mendy. I think the consultant should have at least warned you about Colin's lungs then it would not have been such a shock. You are probably feeling numb at the moment but it does get better with time and then all the happy times together come crowding in. God bless.
