Hi sassy59 good advice. We should all listen to our wives. My Wifey is always right, she told me so. 🙄😂😂😂

Hi Robert_Helton I don't know what it is but if your wife says it's bad I'd listen to her and get it checked out.

It's sputum coughed up this morning. I took the photo to compare with the colour charts I found online. Thought the folks here would know morethan me.

I've coughed that up every morning for the past two years, way way before I went to the doc and got the blood test, spirometry, x-ray and CT scan.

I am so used to it I wanted input from others,

WWIW, I feel good today, still loads of sticky goo.

We'll put it right for you and all will be well again. Enjoy your breakfast:-)

Your wife knows you best and has obviously seen what you have brought up previously...do as she advises.

The good news is at least you are bringing it up. The more you can get rid of the better. If there is no real change in the past 2 years then it does not seem so much of an issue however if it gets darker you may need some extra meds to fight it.

Does the throat/upper chest feel sore at the moment? You may be coughing harder to get it up? Needs a Look at.

Be Well

That photo and some of the replies remind me of a Monty Python sketch. My doctor would put me on a dose of prednisone and antibiotics if I came up with anything like that.

Thanks for all the responses.

Only 9 more days until Mother returns to the USA after being here for 72 days to date :-(.

I shall make an appointment to see the GP for the trip back from the airport.

I have a lot of questions. All I got after the CT scan was a phone call. Then after catching wifeys chest infection and scaring myself half to death got to see another one who knew what I needed.

I just get the feeling if you have a smoking related disease they're not all that interested, just keep puffing the inhalor.

PS mother deos not know about it, I cannot let the hypochondriac in on it , I'd never hear the end, of course senility is starting to kick in so prolly wouldn't register much anyways.
