Thanks for your concerns. As usual it's one step forward and one step back with me. Was feeling more breathless recently and O2 assessment confirmed my sats were low. Changed my LTOT prescription to 3lt/24 hours from 2lt/16 hours and this has helped a lot, except that when I leave the O2 off, I notice the difference very quickly. I asked for a review and I was seen by a lung specialist at my local health centre and she was very knowledgeable. She put me on mucadyne and gave me a nasal spray Nasobec, both of which have been really helpful in clearing the tubes, but I've also been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes which they will try to manage with diet/lifestyle control. Good luck with that, as eating and a few jars of real ale keep me human. We all need a few little pleasures don't we? Pleased to say the spirometry test that was done showed the same results as 18 months ago; can't really reconcile that with the change in O2 requirements but a bit of good news to hold on to. Still Stage 4 Severe but holding my own.

I am sorry you have had a hard time with your health recently. Its so true, that everything seems to happen at once.

I would not be without mucodyne, as it has made such a difference in helping clear out the mucous. I found it needs a bit of time in your system before reaching its peak of "helpfulness", but found initial benefit in a week, and then it just seemed to improve from then on.

Hard lines on the diabetes as well, as its difficult enough with lung problems and finding simple pleasures, and then having them taken away is not nice for you. Maybe cutting down will be enough to help your diabetes, and one treat a week will be permitted. Good luck with that one, although your diabetes nurse will advise you on what you can and can't eat or drink.

We just have to keep fighting each day, and you have done well so far.

Hope things improve for you soon, just keep digging in, and you will get there. Having a good laugh is always beneficial for lifting the spirits.

Ha ha. Hi Farmer D. I am doing ok thanks farmer. Although I did sleep most of yesterday afternoon, and evening.! Thanks for the welcome back, and it is certainly a bit nippy here too. Internet connection has been on and off since Sunday, and I fear it will get worse, today and tomorrow.
