loss of breath
Hi Mrspov have a look at this link I put up a couple of months ago
healthunlocked.com/blf/post...
If it doubt however it is much better to ring and ambulance or go straight to A & E as it's much better to be safe than sorry.
I will be here for a while so talk to me. Bev x
Have you tried doing your breathing exercises and are they helping? I know it's difficult but try not to panic as this will only make things worse. Bev x
Hi mrspov12 I see you have only recently joined our forum so welcome and I hope you make some new friends and find any support you need.
If you are really fighting for breath, consider phoning the Emergency Services if you think you need to. You could also phone the NHS Helpline on 111 for advice.
You are bound to be worried about what your scan results might show. Worrying won't do you any good if anything it will make you worse. Try to occupy your mind with something so you are thinking of other things.
Whatever the results show I am sure treatment will be available and knowing where you stand you will be able to do things to help yourself as well.
Don't suffer in silence. If you have any sort of lung problems there will be plenty of people on here that will be able to offer advice and support.
Regards. John
Are you ok Mrspov? I am still here if you need to talk Bev x
As the people above have already said....and I learned the hard way today....you must get to A&E....don't be bothered about phoning an ambulance because once you get to a certain stage where you can't breath you can't pull it back on your own...you need oxygen etc. let us know how you are please
Good morning Mrspov,
I missed your post and am sorry to be writing late to you. All the advice to you is so good - it all comes from people just like us who care. Please let us know how you are. The night is very long when you are feeling so poorly.
xx
Hi, it's so scary when you can't get your breath. It may be due to the fact you are going to clinic tomorrow. I find any kind of stress or worry now, and my breathing just goes haywire. Try to relax, not easy I know, but it is a vicious circle. Hope your appt goes well, let us know
