Start last 3 days trying to do dome beginners yoga, not sure it was a good idea.l, breathing tech hard to get right. And breathless, but seems to be improving, mind you it reminds me of how I m not so flexible as I usef to be:$ :-))

Hi, I go to yoga every week, but I do my own thing when it comes to breathing as I can't sync my breath with the movement....I breathe much faster than everyone else I guess but I do try and slow it down.

Last week the teacher used Yoga Singing Bowls during relaxation....the sound vibrated round the room and a lot of us started coughing....maybe the vibrations loosened our lungs.

I have a new slow chanting music cd, and playing that while doing some simple yoga helps slow my breath I find.

Hi Alicat47 look at the clip of me. The last time I tried doing Yoga, I disappeared down me baggy trousers, was missing for a fortnight and have needed to use a walking stick ever since.

Stick with it. As moat would advocate exercise as the best defence against copd etc. I am sure it will get easier as you go on. Just don't stop as it will be so hard to start back up again.
