copd or lung cancer

Can anyone tell me the difference between ling cancer and copd ...I am to see the specialist on monday with the result of my cat scan and i am worried to death

Monday must seem a lifetime away! There is no point in my telling you not to worry, because you will until you know for certain. There is a VAST difference between COPD and lung cancer, but nobody here can tell you which you have. You could try Googling the two and looking at symptoms but that will not really help and will mean you keep it at the forefront of your mind. Hard as it is, try to concentrate on something else as often as you can between now and Monday. Good luck. x

Hi it is much more likely to be copd than lung cancer if anything at all. Copd is much more common so try not to worry so much, x

Hi ronniebaby a very warm welcome to our forum.

Until you see your Doctor to discuss your CT scan you won't know what you have. COPD and Lung Cancer are to totally different things.

Telling you not to worry is pointless as it will be constantly in the back of your mind. The only thing I can suggest is that you occupy your mind in other ways to distract yourself.
