I wonder what you all think about a north facing garden!, there isn't any trees to make shadows .
Any gardeners out there who can advise please?

Lovley garden Linda. I my self hate gardening. I was glad I moved to a flat last year after living in a 3 bed house with very small garden. Do you lookafter it yourself or dose someone do it for you. X

Would avoid a north-facing garden, myself, unless it was a long one. What about the shadow cast by the house?
There is so much advice about on planting in a north facing garden that I won't put my pennyworth in. We all have successes and failures. Having said that, there are so many plants and shrubs that love the shelter of fences where they can scramble or just be protected. You are spoiled for choice. It's a very personal thing and I say get a good Gardening Book, or again, check on the web, go to your garden centre and pick their brains on a quietish day, they are so very knowledgeable and of course want you to buy from them.

My front garden is north facing.....the only real problem is moss on the lawn as it is shaded by the house.
i don't know if decking or paving would get slippery....I see there is gravel down already.
