Flying with medical oxygen

Booked in flight oxygen when I went to the USA,some charge others don't,but you will need fit to fly certificate, again different airlines require different regs, bit of a rigmarole,I took my POC with me for use abroad, you can hire them but it's not cheap,it's always best to ring the airline you're flying with, and also request special assistance ,some of the hoops you have to jump through make you want to pull your hair out,I am off to Costa Del a Sol this weekend and I just hope I've jumped the right hoops.Best of Luck.Sooki
I flew ago India with Oman Air, they provided oxygen free of charge both ways and for both flights each way. I failed my fit to fly test but that didn't seem to matter. You need letters or forms filled in by your consultant but it all went well. Unfortunately I decided I needed the loo when we were half way home and unhitched the oxygen thinking I was fine but it was a momentous disaster. Just managed to get to loo and back but thought I was going to die in the process. Just showed me how much I was dependent on the oxygen. Go for it
