Well after 3 weeks of my referral going to Newcastle for my lung transplant assessment I get a call saying they've had a cancellation and they want me to come in April, I'm very nervous!

Lung transplant assessment
I have had a transplant assessment in Harefield transplant unit so i would imagine they are all run in a similar way.
You have nothing to be nervous over , they will start with some blood tests etc then send you for xrays and lung function and a heart echo and its all painless then you will speak to a consultant after all that and can ask any questions you may have so write them down because i didnt and forgot to ask what i wanted
It will be a long day so prepare yourself for that but these things are usually run like clockwork x
The very best of luck - how exciting xxx
You must be feeling anxious but have ftrust in your Surgeon and his team and specialist after care. I'll bet you have had a long wait, but it will be so worth it when April comes and you have had the operation.
Prepare yourself for a new beginning and a brand new life.
Mandy6513's great advice should be a help to you.
Wishing you well ejbid.

Thanks for your comments. I've not waited long ti be fair, I was diagnosed with IPF at Christmas, I'm only 30. and they sent my referral ti Newcastle at the beginning of February so to have this cancellation is a true blessing and I believe God has provided this for me and will give me a new life. Praise jesus
Dont hesitate to message me if you have any questions i will be happy to help if i can x
I am under Newcastle. They are excellent. Is this your fist time seeing them? There is no need to be nervous, they are all lovely.
