glad your feeling a little bit better best to just get checked out , maybe an infection coming on , I see in your last post you had been doing house work had you been using any cleaning product that could have sent you off polish or cleaning sprays ect
Hi Mahoney, I think you definitely need to see a doctor because it does sound like you've got an infection.
You can get antibiotics to clear it up & hopefully be back to normal soon.
Good luck & hope you come back & let us know how you get on 🌺
Hi glad you are feeling better. I have severe COPD and I used to work as a cleaner. I used to ware a mask at work and when I was doing my housework. And found it a great help.
Mahoney,
I think seeing a doctor is a good idea. I hope you will start to feel better soon after that.
Pleased you are feeling a little better, I was worried. If your copd is mild & you have been feeling as bad as you felt today you need to visit your GP. Mine is just mild /gone into moderate and I had to visit a few times to get the inhalers right for me. Everyone is different. I take 2 different preventers a day & have ventolin when I need it. Central heating makes me loads worse so I try to be as active as possible(luckily storm Gertrude is on the way out) outdoors.
You be surprised you will cop with it just take it in your own stride and you see you will deal with it take care
Who says it will get worse Mahoney? It might not with a bit of luck and living a healthy lifestyle, or not much worse anyway. You will adapt because we all do. Having mild copd still means you can do everything you want to do but just a blt slower. We usually slow down a bit as we age anyway.
Don't forget adding an 'e' to copd is coped! You will. x
My partner just been diagnosed with mild COPD but hrs passing out coughing at least twice a day his mum died of it 2yrs ago we both know it's worse than what the gp gave said x
Hi. Hope it went well at hospital and your feeling better, happier and have answers to your worries.
The only thing that I can add to what everyone else has already said is take every day as best as you can. "If your well, do; if your breathing is not so good, don,t."
I get so frustrated with myself, as does my family with me, cos the worse my breathing is, the more I seem to want to do. and of course, it makes me worse. So I'm learning to behave and rest when I'm breathless and coughing - I should do a lot of resting!! ha
Its human nature to want to keep going but sometimes we just need to slow down or stop.
Take care of yourself.
Yea I know exactly what you mean you can't go from getting up cleaning washing hoovering to doing nothing I felt great the other morning so I cleaned the whole kitchen top to bottom I did have to stop a couple of times when I was washing the floor ( iv been using sterilising baby fluid ) cause it seems safer for my chest then normal bleach ,, I might be wrong lol an hour later I was in bed so I'm going to have to keep on top of the housework little and often .... And before anyone says let your family do it haha my husband leaves food on the plates if he does the dishes so I have to redo them they just Hoover where they see ,, never under the settee and units lol so better doing myself but just a bit slower now xx
