Do disability rights help you fill in forms ? our local CAB don't have enough hours so they wont help any more. The first time I applied it took them 13 months and they turned me down I think they lost my form I re-applied and this time I had a assessment this time I got it but I'm due to be re-assessed next year so I'm going to need help with the forms.

Yes disability rights help fill the form in u need to get your form first though and take evrything you need with you letters etc you will need to ring them for an appointment as if there anything like ours they are really busy i was lucky and they managed to fit me in that was in november im now waiting for an appointment for assesment then hopefully will get an answer as to whether i can get it or not. If your not sure where your local disability rights is google it and it will bring up a list of different places that might be able to help you hope this helps.

The best thing to do is not big your self up. Do not have good days only better days. Look at what you now use to help do things like put shoes on etc. If you need to sit on a bed to get ready at the moment that is classed as an aid. DWP are looking at changing this!

I have been told not to use stick as it will affect my spine. But as I walk with a limp they think as I do not use one so I do not need one? But when the gout kicks in I need my boot and sticks or I do not go anywhere?

PIP AWARDS TO BE SLASHED

Cover of PIP consultation documentThe DWP is aiming to slash the number of people who are eligible for the daily living component of PIP. The cuts will be aimed at the 35% of claimants who qualify for PIP solely because of their use of aids and appliances.

Senior officials are unhappy that recent upper tribunal decisions have found that a bed, for example, can count as an aid or appliance if a claimant needs to sit on it in order to get dressed.

This, they say wasn’t the original intention when the benefit was introduced.

I just found this on benefits for work web site.
