As I understand it the flu jab isn't a 'live' vaccine so it doesn't give a dose of the flu. I heard it explained that a small number of people will fall ill afterwards purely because they caught a virus around the same time as the jab and associate it with having it. But its nothing to do with the jab.
3 weeks is a fairly long time, unfortunately its probably just a coincidence that flu jab season coincides with everyone coughing and spluttering and you have been unlucky.
Hope you feel better soon.

Hello daddyheart
Maybe it's because it's that time of year, wherever you do at the moment people are coughing and sneezing.

I agree with the others, probably a coincidence. If you've got it now i hope it clears up asap. Take care
My infection began 6 days after the flu jab, there people coughing and spreading germs in the surgery. I hear lots of people around my area have this virus.
When you have COPD it is harder to shake off. Antibiotics aren't much use against a virus.
