There’s a distinct lack of celebs that have gone on the record as having COPD. This is unfortunate as it would give it more publicity and maybe research funding.
Ones I can think of include; Willie Nelson, Christy Turlington and Ronnie Wood. Anyone know of anymore?

Gosh, I didn't know that about Amy Winehouse! I remember reading about the two DD s but nothing about that, poor girl! I do remember about Leonard Nimoy now you mention it.
Just looked that up about Cheggers, he was a 60 a day man apparently but died from IPF, closely linked to the smoking no doubts.
Kenneth Cope was on rehab course with me a couple of years back. I didn’t even know who he was until after the course ended. I never watched the TV programmes he was on and now can’t remember what the were. Coronation St was one.
He’s been in a lot of things. I’d say a fair amount of smoking went on in that game, plenty of hanging around. Journalists were well known to smoke like chimneys too.
He's was/is very modest man I talked to him quite a lot, he was the only bloke there, and he never once mentioned acting. I did notice that the ladies paid a lot of attention to him though. 🙄
Katie Prices mum (Amy) has IPF and was diagnosed in 2017 as I was.I saw her interviewed on TV saying she hasn't long to live which freaked me out! She has moved to Spain hoping that the warm weather will help.
That's so true, it's a pity most lung diseases aren't publicised enough like cancer is. I've noticed I my GPS surgery there are leaflets about cancer, and stopping smoking yet nothing about COPD And everything Which comes under that umbrella. Have a good day and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx
You're very right of course Ski's, but look how it helps! Roy Castle foundation for lung cancer and passive smoking, Jade Goody with Cervical cancer encouraging younger women to come forward for regular testing. Anne Diamond and Cilla Black highlighting Cot Death Syndrome. These celebs have made a huge difference and whilst they highlight these terrible issues, it encourages fundraising which all helps research in the long run.
Another to add to the list Eric Clapton, looks well I might add, also good to see he’s getting on with life, gigging, recording, collaborating. Eric was a 60 a day smoker up to the age of 49 and has a young family. Now he would be a serious ambassador for lung disease. Maybe if he put the same effort into talking about his Emphysema as he does about the Vax it might do some good!
Caution advised this video gives a strong Anti Vax message which I personally do not support!
Crikey, that's pretty shocking and naive of him to make those statements. You're right , most people are ignorant about any lung disease including asthma. Older people might have heard of pigeon fanciers disease or emphysema but that's about it. To be fair though its lack of education & no interest of news or information channels.
At 76 with 250M in the bank as above I honestly don’t think I’d care. At that point I’d be considering philanthropy and how I can use my life’s learnings to impact humanity.
Looks like the fags have caught up with Simon Cowell, after a well publicised bout of bronchitis back in 2012 he continued to smoke heavily. I wondered about his recent dramatic weight loss. Anyway the red tops reckon he had a bottle of oxygen in his Roller! Can’t say I agree, looks like a nebuliser to me:
