OMH. We had a lovely day out in Chester. Then headed for home 6 hrs latter we arrived. The journey usually takes 30 minutes. Still we had delicious fish & chips in Frodsham. Yummy. Sleep well.

That took a long time to get home if it's only 30mins away! What was the problem?

At least you had a lovely fish tea!

Take care & keep well πŸ˜€

Sorry for the long delay. Apparently it was an overturned tanker with a taxic load. Some poor souls had to leave their cars, were bused to the service area & had to wait there.

Poor you! My husband went to Runcorn tonight for a football game. The goalie didn't turn up because he was stuck in that traffic. The game started an hour and a half late without the goalie and my husband is only just home now. (Should be a half hour drive) . Fortunately he knows the area quite well and managed to go on the back roads. I feel very sorry for the poor drivers still stuck on the M56. Glad you're home safe

I love Chester. We were planning on visiting Chester when I go to Whthenshawe mid November but my niece is planning my hen do that Saturday! Shame. Thinking of booking the Wednesday night in Chester or Derby now though and going to Chatsworth or a day out in Chester. Decisions, decisions. With all that is going on I am quite enjoying life at the moment though broken chimney and drainage work in the garden is going to be expensive and got me down yesterday that is something I can't control so have to "suck it up" as they say.

Glad you had a nice day.

Morning, Nanaeal, 6 hours later for a 30 minute journey?! Is it those darned roadworks at Conwy? I hope not. going to Anglesey on Friday. Sounds like we'll need to take a sleeping bag! Take care-regards-Dave.

Thanks, Nanaeal. Back now after a wonderful weekend. Went seal-watching in Trearduur(?) Bay, absolutely brilliant, but wet! And ..yes we got stuck at the 3 tunnels in Conwy! After getting through, eventually, it was all down to 2 men and a digger! And it's to be like that for the next 2 years! God help us. Hope you are well and I haven't missed anything exciting on the forum....heehee!

Regards-Dave

I love Chester - went there for my birthday in March and walked (slowly) around the walls. Very bracing.
