Feeling down

Got a phone call today from Capita about my pip claim, they wanted to inform me that my home visit date is October 1st at 10.30 am , not much in the mood for these type of appointments, its stressful enough filling out the paperwork let alone sit through a lot of questions on multi choice thrown at you 😢

Hi mmzetor thank you for your reply, I never got pip the last time I applied, I also have other illnesses, but, there are people in worse ways on here than me, hope you are having a nice evening ;)

You have my sympathy, I very recently went through a similar procedure with, and on behalf of my son. Twenty five pages of tick box questions was 'part of' his annual review, (he has cerebral palsy) I won't tell you how long it took, his student social worker ended her training year so we had to have another one to complete it. Filling in forms and trying to keep up with all the changes plus the closure of so many day centres causes me more stress than anything else in my life. It's so nice to come on here and share in all the jokes, look at the lovely pictures of mogs and dogs etc.......and when I read about everyone else's problems and troubles, all of mine slide back into perspective. So...keep em' comin' please? Right - that's me off my soapbox.

Hi Magpuss, I think the forms are a joke, the pip form I filled out was 40 pages but not all applied to me, Ig I don't get it this time I am not applying again, hope you are well Karen xxx

The best of luck. Hope you get awarded the highest rate xx

Hi Lynn1951 thank you for your reply, I think all people with COPD should be awarded pip, I also have Asthma, OA in both hips and left knee, and now depression, last yr I was turned down for pip even tho the health worker that comes out to you put in her report I should be awarded pip and assessed again in a yrs times, not to worry there are people on here worse than me, hope you are well xx

Stay positive and answer all questions as if it is your worst day. Don't offer to make them a cuppa and try and have someone there to support you.

Good luck and keep us informed x
