Sadly breathlessness is the major symptom of COPD but here are many ways to help relieve the condition. Read the posts here every day and get your Doctor to refer you to a specialist consultant and ask for a Pulmonary Rehabilitation course.

Having had the diagnosis, you should now have follow-ups at the hospital and/or your GP to sort out your treatment. Breathlessness is one of the symptoms of COPD but it can be controlled to some extent.

Hi I was sent to pulmonary rehab but due to my lung cancer and COPD I was not getting any benefits from all the exercises. The physiotherapists also realised it was making my sats drop very low and have recommended one to one breathing exercises rather than the exercise classes. I start this week and they are confident it will help me to breath more easily when I get very breathless. Perhaps your GP could arrange this for you ? Xx
