Alcohol.

I used to like to have a can or two.

But since diagnosis 3 months not only I stopped smoking but also have stopped drinking.

I found this in the fridge today and it is a hot day.

Does anyone know if it's okay to have a can or two will it have any bad effect on copd.

And can I include it in my must drink 2 litres a day.

I dont see why not in moderation, wedderburn, but make sure the alcohol wont clash with any meds that you are taking. Also cosult your pharmacist. X

I think a can or two is fine: after all in addition to the alcohol contains yeast, B vitamins etc which are healthful compounds. Best to check with your pharmacist/dr though to make sure none of your meds interact with the alcohol.

Avoid at all costs. Full of gas (CO2) and chemical additives. Try a pint of real ale and taste the difference.

Black sheep, Doom Bar, Speckled Hen, preferably on gravity!

I had copd for 10 years, fortunately I was offered a transplant but although I gave up smoking I still continued drinking with no ill effects. Just check none of your medications interact with alcohol. Good luck. Sue
