I love/hate food posts. I have a one tracked mind I love food! (still 10 stone so not overdoing it!)

Looking through the posts for inspiration I have decided on chicken stew and dumplings. Salivating now at the thought.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I am moving house soon so trying to use up what is in the cupboards, freezer etc. So happy with stew n dumps.

Enjoy.

Sounds great Dorothy, couldn't stomach the rhubarb though, always hated it, my mother used to force me to eat it as a child. She used to grow it plus equally horrible gooseberries HA.

Oh gosh everyone - don't know how I ended up here! but....during the last war we children used to spend a lot of time round the edges of the Rhubarb fields on the outskirts of Manchester, and we ate the sticks just as they were. We also spent whole days in the potato fields with empty match boxes, hunting for Colorado Beetles, because there was a poster outside the local police station advertising a reward of £5..00 per beetle. Hurrying with assorted beetles in our match boxes, we would with bated breath, ask the Desk Sergeant if we were lucky, and he would say "sorry not this time" he must have had a laugh. We were triers. heh heh

Haggis neeps and tatties followed by a box of malteasers

Before I retired I had to cook this meal every year for 180 members of the Masons on Burns night. Not keen on the Haggis myself but it was always a popular meal. Love maltesers though.

Love a steak dinner, I prefer a juicy rump steak but my husband prefers the sirloin , have to have it with mushrooms, onion rings, chips and pepper sauce. Yummy.
