The Velveteen Rabbit. Its a great book. All kids here have fond memories of reading it when they were young. You can have my 95 degrees. I'll take yours.

Guess you never heard of the book ... The Velveteen Rabbit.
Here, I don't think you'll find a kid that didn't read it when they were little. Its a pretty special book. 95 degrees and humid.
I hate it. You don't feel like doing anything. I like 66- 78. Thats nice. Next wk. Is supposed to be better.😊 Cats outside are miserable. Yes, we do have air conditioners. So enough on me, how are you? Not seen much of you lately.
Hi again Ruby, I am fine, thank you. No, have never read the book, sorry, not even heard of it. Sounds a bit like " Winnie the Pooh" Poor puss cats, hard when your covered with fur, Have a good day Ruby,Take care,Bulpit
Glad to hear it. You sure deserve it. Have you read -- The Giving Tree? Another good one. How hot is it in Pakistan?. Its a little better here today. 85.....
I hope the acid suppressors do the trick Ruby - you're right, always something else to sort.
Not sure re weekend, Rita back from London this evening. We have friends coming to eat on sunday. Need to find a new car (secondhand, i.e. new to us) as our rust bucket has given up the ghost. So that might be a task for tomorrow. Not sure re weekend weather but its going to be in the low thirties next week - think that might be around 85F.
Bit too warm for me too Ruby but very pleasant here today on the South Coast of England. We have been to Southampton hospital for Pete to have his back stimulator checked and he is doing a bit better with it now. He has the choice of 2 programmes which is better. It is actually by a USA based company called Medtronic.
I liked the passage from the Velveteen Rabbit but have never read it. Does seem true though and my grandson has a lovely rabbit that was made for him. It is much loved.
The Velveteen Rabbit is a wonderful story. The stuffed rabbit wants to become real. I have a copy of it in my library of books. I also have. -- The Giving Tree--- Another book I really like.
I remember The Velveteen Rabbit. It has been very hot by British standards, for a couple of days. I only manged one round of George's walk this evening. The pollen got me. I started sneezing and then my chest tightened and I was gasping for breath.
Was alright when I got to the car. Richard said the other dogs didn't want to carry on without me, he had to put Georges lead on.
Where do you live Dunk? I see you have temps. like me.

Hi,I am in central Jersey!Boy its a steamer again!hard to breathe outside.the air is so stagnent. I have Lupus, just diagnosed in spring of 2014.
I had pneumonia about 8 months ago, then CT scan w/ dye,and I have fibrosis "Lupus" lungs.
Second CT scan shows they have diminished. I was told by my Rheumy Lupus people develop this.
I am a lot better lung wise, but still days like today tax them.
With the pneumonia I couldn't even go up a flight of stairs, and for months afterwards.
So am keeping an eye on how they feel.So far,a lot better.
As you know Lupus doesn't just go away.I am on Plaquenil, well generic of.My big complaint is the aches in my hands, fingers and joints. But like now,I was just outside shaking my kitchen rug and I call it " toxic" ,the air...really lack of!
I joined here about 2 months ago.You know how they let you know who is nearby...and I started reading ,and found you!
You love animals, as do I! I love your entries with them...and the Polish castle!!!My heritage is Polish!
I am a woman, age 59." Dunk " is my grown son's nickname from me .I do still call him this when speaking to him!
Funny.
How are you doing?Real bad humidity here, huh?!!xxx

Hi rubyred777.. I am new. I hope I replied to you correctly!Dunkxx
You did fine Dunk. Weather is horrible! I can't wait for fall. I live about 20 mins. From Great Adventure in Jackson.
Most N.J. folks know of it. I have copd. I don't know alot about lupus. How does that effect your lungs? Glad to meet you 😊
Rubyxx 😊
Hi!yes I know Great Adventure.. been there a few times when my son was a lil guy!I am in Middlesex Boro It's a little town on the outskirts of the bigger ones like Greenbrook, Dunellen, Bound Brook.
Lupus effects my lungs because of inflammation which is a major part of Lupus. It's an autoimmune disease that attacks oneself. Also prone to infections because of these self attacks.Ducky, huh!
I developed pneumonia shortly after being diagnosed 2014,May.My lungs became real bad.Had a CT scan and it showed lots if spots. My GP said Lupus people are prone to this lung Inflammation, so let's give it 3 months to see if the spots grow or decrease. 2 nd CT scan, this time with a dye contrast showed they did subside. This happened 8 months ago.At that time I couldn't walk up a flight if stairs!Took a long time to become somewhat back to normal in my lungs.Still, days like today, humid bother me so!No air!!Can't wait for fall either!Sprays bother me,fumes.
Lupus attacks my joints, too.Have pain in them almost daily! And tired...not as spunky as I used to be!My GP said I have a " mild " Lupus. So far no attacking of my heart, kidneys, etc.Of course the lungs aren't 100%...so I do have some major organ involvement.I am on Plaquenil for the Lupus.I don't know if it's the disease or the medicine, but I am going through losing hair, and rashes.I also lost weight. It's a stressful disease! No cure and no new meds in like 30 years!!!
How about you??!How are you doing?I know very little about COPD.Hiw are your lungs effected?Glad to meet you,too Ruby!xx
